Hi, hopefully a quick query
Manual (for zx10) says standard plugs are NGK CR9EIA-9 I have new plugs that say on the box 6293 CR9E NGK so is it just the CR9E that matters? what does the IA-9 and 6293 mean. Does anyone use other brands than NGK? and should I consider others? Thanks |

Hi, 6293 is NGK's short code for the plug, The CR9E plugs are for the ZX10 (B1/B3 eng) and the CR9EIA-9 for the later 2004 on (C1H eng).
The I = iridium tip A = Design series 9 = 0.9mm electrode gap Hope this helps |

Yes thats right you need the CR9EIA-9, short code 6289 for yours, NGK only list iridium for the later bikes.
