Hello everyone,
New owner of a 2nd hand sv650 here... The previous owner fitted a 2008-engine (2 sparkle plugs per cylinder) into the 2006-chassis. Reason was that the original engine went dead, so it had to be replaced. The only difference between the 2 engines is that the 2006 only had 1 sparkling plug per cylinder. The 2008 one has 2. Previous owner connected only 1 sparkling plug per cylinder, to keep it simple, and I must say that it works. However I am considering connecting the 2nd sparkling-plug, so that I won't have an issue when selling it myself (in one year), and the bike should perhaps work better too. Indeed, the position of the 1st sparkling plug might not be optimal in regards to burning the whole amount of fuel in the cylinder. In k6 engine, I assume the plug was located in central position (?). In K8, it looks more on the side. Thanks for reading all this.... If you have any comment, please go ahead ![]() Now the question : Does any of you know which parts I should get my hands on in order to do that? Thank you guys Pix Last edited by Pix; 15-05-10 at 11:23 AM. |
