More PC gone mad
Tesco store in washwood heath, brum about 3-4 miles away from me, have re-painted the white parking zone blue cos it was felt to be insensitive to local residents (predominatly asian now).
WTF is going on in our country? The story was printed in our local free gazette and tesco hadnt issued a statement at time of print but verbally have admitted it to a local estate agent, who wrote to the gazette originally. I didnt get this from the daily mail either. |

awful joke I know I'd take it with a pinch of salt until tesco comments, but perhaps it's part of their gameplan for world domination (we have 10+ stores in sheffield now). And they must be doing well off their customers if they can blow money on crap like that - maybe worth giving asda a visit.

One of the local supermarkets other year whinged on the PA about England flags on peoples cars being offensive.
About half the folk in there dropped their shopping wherever they were and walked out, which was nice.

tesco's are a joke with stuff like this. my mum use to work in the new malden branch, the asian staff could celebrate ramadan and all that.
but the english staff could not celebrate st.george's day! just in case it offended! |
