re-fitting the fairings - SV650.org

hi all
this may be a noob question but i just fitted r&G crash bungs and i cant seem to get the fairings to match. from the sides you cant tell but from the rear one looks like it sticks out a bit more. is there a way its supposed to be done?????

I did this job a few months back and the fairing fitted back fine.

The holes for the fastners are oval so you can adjust the position of fairings a little bit - might be worth having another go at positioning the fastners.

are they supposed to be symmetrical???

I had this same issue when I used to have an SV. One fairing didn't seem to fit as well.....so when looking from the front or back it looked like the fairing was slightly bowed. I did everything I could to make it fit better, but could never get a perfect match......

So in the end I just left it, never had an issue with it and was so slightly out that no-one noticed.

Should be pretty even each side. Never noticed any obvious difference between each side.
