Helmet Decals

Has anyone had any experience of applying decals to helmets?
I have just bought a plain black XR1100.
I want to add a stripe so it looks like this

I'd have a go myself but don't want it to look like a pile of dog sick with bubbles and creases everywhere

Dan i put the ones on my van with no bubbles, took ages but ok in the end.
A very mild solution of washing up liquid and water in a fine spray bottle, helps you move it around and squeegy it to remove bubbles, then you can run the hair dryer over it or just leave it and it will be jobbed job.

Nice lid mate, ill be having one off them soon. good luck with the decals.
