Default Help me choose a new bike.

Hi,

Well I get bored quick and although I love my B1H I'm a little bored of the revvy engine so want a 750-1400, as for budget not sure yet maybe 5.5k so will need to be 2nd hand, supersports or sports tourer.

Cheers

Actually maybe 4.5k is more realistic.

5.5k will just about get you a brand new Z750....

Or at least it would 2 years ago - on 30 months interest free too...

Pop the 5.5K into a savings type account, have the direct debit for the 0% (if available) paid from that account and see how much of the difference can be generated by the interest - and in 2.5 years you SHOULD be able to find the shortfall if there is one...

what do you want it for? although you can do pretty much anything with most bikes and an engine size of 750cc upwards gives a certain flexibility, a criteria would be nice.

Cheers Mark.

Triumph Street Triple, really torquey (more torquey than an FZ1 I tried the other day), light, comfortable, holds its value well, wheelies, easy to ride, its British, looks good and a damn good laugh

K5 GSXR 750 should just about be in your budget... you'd probably find an older litre sports bike fits to something like a 954cc Blade might be in order.

Depends whether you want a litre sports bike or not and you can afford to insure it.

Then you've got the bigger CC naked bikes GSX1400 and the likes, that wont be revvy and will deliver plenty of low down torque.

In your shoes with such a wide remit, I'd be getting round the bike dealers and sitting on a few bikes and seeing what they have to offer...
