I'm generally in favour of Boris - but he's ****** up good and proper this time.

This^^^

Looked like he'd had a bad day and should have kept his mouth shut

If he removes the bus lane access when the evidence stacks in favour what does he think will happen?

Protests on a massive scale

Fortunately the electorate felt different.

Sounds like it may go down in a similar way to the way it did with Ken... pity, as it is proven elsewhere to reduce casualties (or did in Sheffield, at any rate).

Time to dust off the letter writing pen and make sure the outrage cartridge is full, if I were a Londoner.

I think his comments are probably an accurate representation of the feelings of your average voter in London, in that special concessions are already being made to bikers, and yet they're still kicking off and causing chaos.

I think the "No to bike parking tax" group need to tread carefully at this point to avoid an almighty backfire. I realise that what they're campaigning for has national significance, but a serious backlash might also have national consequences.
