Missing wormdrive bearings
My clutch had been dragging when pulled in and generally felt rough.
I stripped down the worm drive found aload of gritty grease and 4 missing ball bearings. This has now notched the guide aswell as afair bit of side to side play when put together. Are the notches means to replace and where could i get this size bearing from as i have no way of measuring this correctly with a rule. Cheers |

took mine off the other day and they fell out all over the floor, bloody things. mine was also a mess so greased it back up and put it back on
you could always put a sv1000 hydrolic clutch on, using the sv1000 push rod cut down to 122mm will need to mod the sprocket cover though |

When that happened to mine I just bought a new wormdrive from Suzuki.I dont think it was very dear.

The lifters wear and get notched quite early in their life, buy a new one - the clutch action will be much nicer.

I have a backup one here , I`ll dig out the Micrometer and have a measure but as others have stated , sometimes it`s just worth buying a new one .

The worm drive is similar to a Bandit 600s. My Bandit one gave me trouble for about 6 months after numerous rebuilds and geasing with new bearings etc. In the end I fitted a new one - £26 - and it was perfect from then on.
I'd say don't bother rebuilding, just put a new unit in. |

we got the bearings from the pushbike department of halfords for free , clean regrease and put bearings back in, this was on beanies k3, afaik she's had no probs since
