Default Has anyone's kid/s been on a PGL holiday

S wants to go, the Shropshire one is just up the road from here... PGL stands for Parents Get Lost... but I have no experience of them. Anyone know 'owt about them?

I went on one about 6-7 years ago, so may have changed but at the time was enjoyable and laid back, the instructors knew what they were talking about and always did there best to look after us hyperactive little kids

I went when I was younger, and was the one of the best experiences as a kid I had. I went to one on Llangorse lake in the Brecons. I had already had very basic sailing lessons, but went three years in a row.

These three years led to me completing the RYA levels 3-4 and 5. Following this, I then was invited by the trainers to attend an "interview" at the start of the summer season. As part of this I spent two weeks completing my final qualifications to become a qualified dinghy sailing instructor. Then, I spent the full summer holidays between School and University teaching and living at the centre.

I can't honestly rate them enough. They help teach independance, great fun, make great freinds and can lead to learning good skills. She would love it.
