Hi

Just 2 quick questions I have just put Beowulf slip on on my bike(sounds amazing) should I tell my insurance company im only on tpft insurance.2nd question where the can goes onto the link pipe, underneath there is a tiny bit of air coming out,it doesn't change the sound. Will this fail MOT.

You should always tell your insurers if you modify your bike. TBH the can probably wont make the premium go up, but you want to make sure the details are all straight otherwise they may use it as an excuse to get out of paying out if the worst does happen. Especially as they might view the can as making your bike more stealable.

As for the exhaust blow, if its just a tiny bit, more than likely it will be OK for the MOT. But if you want to make sure, pop the can off, get some builders silicone and then pop a bit round the join and then refit the can, should seal it up nicely.

My blueflame used to blow a little at the joints and it was never a problem come MOT time.

Had the same on my bike Paul and used some of this stuff to seal it. I've still got loads left so I'll dig it out and drop it off to you after work

I'd tell them, insurance companies realise that cans wear out, if it is not performance enhancing I dont see why your premium should rise. Dont give them an excuse not to pay on a technicality.
