Default electrical problem

hello there guys not long had my 2000 sv650 and during yesterdays downpours of rain i experienced loss of power my fuel light appearing despite only having been to the pump and flat spots in the rev range. i feel this maybe some kind of electrical component on the bike been really wet aany ideas people?

Loss of power I would wager is down to water getting into / onto the front spark plug. Its quite a common problem with the SV.

If you have a play with the search function theres plenty of threads on the subject and how to resolve it.

As for the fuel light, cant help on that one sorry.

As fizzweheel, Had the water in the plug problem yesterday look at the tuning and tweaking section

the thread is weatherproofing the electrics

You can always make your own fenda extenda like I did out of a mineral water bottle and tape, lasted a while:
