Default Anyone any good at removing a bit of broken stud from an engine?

No it's not the bike and no I didn't break it. Last week when I was nosing under the bonnet I spotted a hole that looks like it should have a bolt or something in it. When I looked in the haynes I was right, it should have a piece of studding with a nut on the end.

I poked an Allen key in the hole and it feels very much like someone has managed to snap the studding in the engine. While it's not a massive issue to how it runs or drives it's something I'd like to get sorted. So I'm in search of someone that knows what they are doing.

Here's a picture of the bit in suspect.

So anyone any good with this type of thing?

If you can get an easy out in there, id give that a try, you can pick em up for a few quid if your only gonna use it once.
but tbh, if its anything more than a quick fix, id leave it well alone.

I had this happen on my old mk2 golf gti when i changed the manifold gasket, had to drill it out and re-tap it and put another bolt in.
Had to hire a right angled drill as well cos couldnt get into it with a normal one.

Sometimes though they get hardened and wont drill.

Thanks for your input guys. It has got a slight blowing to it but I think I'll leave it be for now.
