Default The SV's had some backdoor action today!

A nice man in a white van decided not to stop behind me today wilst I was stationary at a junction
pushed me straight out into the main road and over the bike went on its side!
Damage wise its broke both rear side panels, undertray, rear light mounting, the dark grey bit behind the pillion seat, front brake lever, front RH fairing has split where the indicator pokes through and also scratched it, mirror folded in and split the screen, bent the can outwards. slit the hugger and more worrying I'm not sure if the rear swingarm is bent. The chain is really slack now and the hugger is no longer following the contour of the rh side of the swingarm if that makes any sense?
I'm not sure if I am making any sense now! have just got back from A&E and am feeling the effects of the codeine!
Thought I was ok at the time, but my neck has got progressively worse and pain is now radiating down my back
Probably be a write off just because of the plastics
I'm off to bed now, will see what the insurance people?garage say tomorrow

Hope you're alright mate.

Yet another curvy bites the dust. They'll be even more precious and rarer than they already are soon.

Not good mate, hope you recover asap, and hopefully get the bike fixed, via the white van man's insurance company!!

Friend of mine got bumped into from behind as he was sitting at a roundabout... woman in a Yaris behind him just kept rolling and bumped him, luckily at no pace, so no damage was done... but just goes to show how ridiculous people can be!!

Again, hope you recover soon

Crashes like this are so common mate, hope you recover OK. Just glad you didn't get hit by whatever you were giving way to at the time. Without turning your mishap into a riding lesson this is one of the reasons I don't like stopping in front of traffic at junctions. I always try and time my approach so I can go straight out or if I do have to stop I try and get completely to one side, either against the kerb or on the crown. Get well soon.

all poo, gws

all depends on speed he hit you, its likley that the wheel has just been pushed forwards in its mounts, possably at an angle which is why the chain got slack
