Default mole

ok this is very sad and not very biker like. But I rescued a mole from 2 magpies today. I dont know if it was a baby as I dont know how big an adult mole is. It was the cutest thing in the world despite having huge feet and not wearing glasses. I released it into the bushes and when I came back from swimming lessons it had gone. I like to think it had got away to safety and had not been eaten by the neighbours cat. Anyway my life is that sad and uninteresting. carry on!

Oh you are so going to regret that.

I hope you have no lawns.

Makes a change from the damn magpies around my way that lie in wait each year for the baby starlings to emerge from their nest in my neighbours roof. I've rescued several fledglings over the years from those bullies.

Good on ya kit kat. Moles may make your lawn a bit uneven thanks to their runs but if you scoop up the earth from the mole hills it makes very good top dressing and soil-based compost.

Moles are awesome.

Read 'The Duncton Chronicles' by William Horwood, you'll never look at a mole in the same light again.

Well done KK!

no lawn worth talking about. Libbys plastic house has left 2 bald patches, her slide has left another. I have just been out hacking away at the only plant in the garden as it has nice red berries on it and I dont know what they are but Libby was fancying a snack after she had finished munching on the sand left over from sorting the slabs.

just did a search and the berries I hacked off the tree are poisonous. Its a guelder rose bush, or at least it was before my shears did their job.

KK, moles are tiny, they fit in the palm of your hand. I agree though, they are extremely cute and their fur is sooooo soft!
