Default Superdream CB250N

My Superdream is for sale if anyone fancys a bit of classic japanese history.

http://www.gumtree.com/london/02/61649602.html

100% reliable, selling as I failed to get it insured (and the trumpet got rustier sitting over winter than it would have actually being used!)

special 11% discount for 'orgers!

Rather a strange request, but how wide is it at it's widest point (I assume this is the bars). I want something to stick in my camper but the rear door is quite thin. I actually saw this bike on Gumtree and thought, oooooh maybe that would fit...

So, 11% discount makes it £400. Don't suppose you want to swap for a dullville? That won't fit in my van unless I chop it in half!

oooo a deuville, does it work??

It is very thin, handle bars are 27.75" across, but the widest part (as near as I can measure) is 29.75" across the brake levers.

Obviosly the leavers move in and out so are manipulatable, and they don'yt look 1" longer than the handle bars but its the way the handlebars are swept back and the levers are straight across.

Measurements also available in metric for an added fee!

P.S. if i do take the deauville, can I have it before you chop it in half...

Bugger. Just measured the back door and its only 21.5" wide! I'd have to take the bars off to get it in!

Incidentally yes the Dullville works, but uses a bit of oil - well it has done 100k! MOT'd but SORN as it is my winter bike. It is also sporting the worlds worst paint job - done by one of our very own SV'ers. Probably worth more than £400 but if it had fitted... Looks like I need a monkey bike!

the handle bars turn left and right yknow... I could definatly get it into a 21" opening so long as its just the door thats 21" with a void behind it.

You are welcome to come round a trial.

I do when I'm on my own. I work festivals with the Mrs, and we spend so much time at them over summer that it's nice to have a proper place to sleep and cook. If you've just come off an 8 hour night shift, the last place you want to sleep is a baking hot tent! Its also a classic Bedford so i get to play with engines n stuff

Ian - I have been doing a bit of research on the 250 superdream and it seems that it would be a little underpowered to use as my winter tool if I got rid of the dullville. All my mileage is on the motorway and I like to be able to do a steady 85-90 loaded up with junk. from the reviews it seems the 250 is more suited to A roads and town work than pure motorway slogging, so I can't really justify getting yet ANOTHER bike. Good luck with the sale though.
