nice email from suzuki re: sv650's and thous sz's

i emailed suzuki to ask about the numbers of sv1000sz that were sold in the uk as there were no offical numbers i could find , i also asked about future plans for the sv650/1000, and this was the responce

Further to your request, I can confirm that 310 were officially imported and sold in the UK.


As for future model plans, sadly we do not have such information available.


Also, please note that we announced that the SV650S is coming back to the UK market and not the standard SV650. The Gadius continues in this sector.

In a suzi dealer yesterday and one of them new white with blue striped SV's sitting outside. Very smart paint and all black swingy and forks.

Wow! 310 Thou's, that is all that were sold!? I know of at least 10 that have been on e-bay scrapped, so, that is 300 left! I am a 1 in 300 bike owner, woohoo! Although, to be honest, it would be even lower then that. There is a guy on the Thou' portal that has the only SK5 ltd edition in Norway! Now that is rare!

Dammit! Just read your post on the Portal Dave and now understand the point of this thread... Maybe my bike isn't so rare if they sold 310 SZ's and they were only made for a year... Bugger

and yes i have one of (a guess here) id say 275 left

I was going to buy one of the Cat "D" ones that were about on e-bay, but, even they where about £1k more then what I paid for Leana, ha ha
