Default Sell With or Without Panniers?

Hi Folks,

As you might have read I've bought a newer VFR. So my silver steed is going up for sale and I'm wondering whether or not to remove the hard luggage panniers. My dilemma is that the bike may sell faster and for slightly more money with the panniers on but if I remove them and sell them separately I should get £300 for them. Is my VFR worth £300 more with the panniers fitted or is it just a means to sell the bike quicker?

So what would you do, sell the VFR as 'ready to tour' with the panniers or take them off and try to maximise the return?

All opinions valid.

Looks better with them on and you will most likely get more offers, as the buyers will not have to waste time looking for some.

I'll be awkward. If someone comes to buy ask them if they want to buy it with or without panniers. Or if you are selling on ebay, add that the panniers can be bought seperately.
Why lose 300 quid if you can get the better hand?

Well Dizzy, I think I'll get more for the bike sold with the panniers, but not sure so hence the thread. If I do get more, would it be £300 more?

Well simple answer, slap on 300 quid on top of the price you'd sell it at without, then see what happens.

Or am I missing something?

I'd sell them with the bike but with a statement saying bike can be sold without panniers for £300 less. If they don't sell with the bike then sell them separately after the bike has sold.

This is what I would do also.
