There I am pootling along to see the Bear when I see the same speed camera I've passed loads of times. Check my speed, correct. Pootle along, check the mirror and 'FLASH FLASH'! I couldn't believe it.

When I got to my coffee date I was told the section is 30mph but I couldn't believe I hadn't seen the signs. Sure enough there are signs. Is this karma for all those times I didn't get done?

My office called me today to say that on top of a fine I have to pay £20 odd admin fee to the lease company. I might be able to take a speed awareness course but I haven't had the paperwork yet.

Is it worth pleading with the council to ask if I can do one instead of take the points and fine? I've never done one before and currently only have 3 points which expire in a month. What are the chances.

How fast did you go through it at?

Well I thought it was a 40 limit so about that. Apparently that lessens the chance of a course.

Depends if they run speed awareness courses. I went on one after my last brush with the scammra van. 77 in a 70 I think

I had my one and only brush with a speeding ticket just over 3 years ago. 35 in a 30 limit, 4 days earlier it had been 40, 6 years ago it was NSL. 3 points and £60 despite not having had a conviction in over 30 years. yet others locally got speed awareness, I was never offered it.

Camera van at the bottom of a hill round a blind bend. No housing nothing there except a bloody car park. Scamera van. The only reason to lower the speed was a unsafely loaded truck overturned on the bend killing the driver. Of course if he been doing a slower speed it would not have overturned. but if he had not put a JCB so high up, it would not have overturned either.

I just got the final paperwork through.

I was doing 37mph. Lovely. Although it costs £95 for a two and a half hour er.. session.

I can now also send off my license to have all of my previous naughtyness taken off.

I got done for 35 in a 30, no speed awareness offered. first ever point in over 30 years of holding a licence, yet others I talked to got the offer. Blatantly unfair treatment
