Default fitting hawk alarm

fitting a hawk alarm today to a k3 sv650s, got it all wired in, indicators flash when needed, remote works as should, it arms and disarms, has the remote starter wired in, and does start when the ignition is already on via the key, but when the key is off it turns over and turns on the ignition, but doesnt fire, and displays the flashing FI on the screen.

The ignition from the alarm is wired in to the ignition going into the fuse box, how ever you press the ignition button once, i would asume that would turn on the ignition, then again to run the starter. However pressing once does nothing, then again is the starter and ignition with the FI on the screen.

Any ideas why it does this or how to resolve?

The SV ignition switch has a resistor in it, the ECU has has to receive battery voltage on one line and battery voltage minus whatever the reisitor makes it on another in order to run.
This is an effective anti-hotwire feature, I'd leave it like that - it's not like remote start is useful in any way.
