Default Ford focus clutch slave cylinder change

I dont suppose anybody knows wether it can be changed without removing gearbox? Its leaking quite bad but I am going to cornwall (from halifax) next weekend and i am working every day till then so gonna struggle for time to do it if box to come out. Unless I pay someone to do it and commute on my bike.

Nope, it has to come out, and if you don't do it soon, it'll either go pop and your pedal will be on the floor, or the fluid will contaminate the clutch and ruin it.

Cheers, just sort of answered my own question looking at prices for parts on ebay. When I saw pics it was obvious, bugger!

Depending on the model, I flog 'em for £45 or £55.

If you buy one, don't squeeze it as it tends to knacker them.

It blew completely less than 20 miles later. Luckily I am used to driving old landys and an old gardner engined Guy recovery wagon with a crunch box so drove it to my mates garage by matching revs and gear speeds and starting in gear from lights. He is changing it for me cos I don't have time.
