Default Street Fightering a Sport

Hi All,

Been a huge fan of streetfighters for a long long time, and now that ive crashed my Sport and ruined the fairings id like to fighter it.

Ive got/buying:

Headlight unit
Clip ons
Bar end mirrors
Black adjustable rearsets
Naked bungs
Belly Pan

Now i know how to fit all that and what not but my main issue is the spedometer.

Ive looked at a naked and it doesnt look like i would be able to use a bracket off that and i cant seem to find threads on what others have used at brackets and where theyve mounted them from.

Has anyone made a bracket or found one that works etc?

Hope you guys can help as youve never let me down before

Thanks in advance

Perry

Easiest way for you would be to get a naked sv top yoke then use the naked brackets and cover for the speedo. If you look on ron ayers it will show you all the parts you need.

I couldn't use the naked yoke because I have gsxr forks so made a bracket from 5mm aluminium and basically copied the standard naked sv clock bracket, then mounted it under the yoke.

ohhhh yeh you're keeping the clip ons. Forgot.

I've mounted it temporary using the ignition mounts (which means I can't put on the steering lock just now) but when I get my new 998cc yoke I will be using mounts on the bottom of that

If you used a naked yoke could you remove the bar clamps and fit rubber blanking grommets ?

Yeh you get sv ones. Speedplay sold them on here a while ago I think. But you could just use the ignition mounts, if you mounted the bracket under the ignition, then used longer bolts. It's just a bit fiddle making the bracket because of the way it needs to go around the ignition.

Or yorkie chris said you could fill the standard yoke with liquid metal? then drill and tap it for mounts

Very confusing haha.

If Yorkie did drill and tap it , it would still need a custom bracket right? because of the ignition barrell?

Do you have any photos of how youve mounted yours from under the barrel ?
And how does it affect the lock ?
