Well following a recent low speed off I've got damaged lower fairings on my Curvy.
Other damage was to the indicator, mirror, exhaust (only small scuffs, can live with them). The brake pedal broke, which husky has kindly issued me with a new one of. Luckily the R&G crash bung took the worst of it (which Carl has kindly said I can swap with one of the ones off the bucket) Now, the dilemma is, do I spend the money on the materials to repair and paint my lower fairings. My stepdad is a body repairer and painter so labour won't be an issue. Or... Do I leave the bike half faired. Can't decide whether I prefer the half or full faired look. What are peoples views? Cheers, Toby |

I grew to like half faired after I had my lowers off for a while....but as soon as I put them back on, I preferred full fairing.
I could live with both tbh. |

Half faired SVs look like part of the bodywork is missing to me.
Just do whatever you can afford/want to do. |

I've always had naked bikes till i got the half faired SV650s. It certainly provides more wind deflection than i've ever experienced and there doesn't seem to be any disconcerning wind blast around the legs etc. It looks fine to me. Until recently a fully faired SV was a rarity at local bike meets but there seem to be more and more common now days. They do look more complete but i also like to see the engine but that stems from my love of naked street fighters

Well I think I prefer them fully faired, but it is alot easier to work on and clean with the lowers off.
Hmmm decisions decisions |
