Default Exhaust leak - how to fix?

Hi all,

I've just fitted dual Blue Flame exhausts to my '04 pointy SV1000s they look awesome but seem to be 'blowing' abit out of the side where the cans bolt onto the link pipes. I can feel exhaust gas blowing from either side of the fitment, they are bolted on as tight as i can physically tighen them. This is the universal fitment for new end cans so i'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so how did they fix it?

These are the cans http://www.blueflameperformance.com/...shid=stainless

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Most people I come across say a little blow is nothing to worry about.

I know some use silicone sealant (kitchen stuff?) to give it a good seal.

The only caution if you are to leave it is to determine what the leaking exhaust gases are going to get into. eg. It wont do plastics any good.
