Popped out for short ride this pm, but it ended up:

Halifax to Skipton.
On to Kirby Lonsdale, stop for coffee and sarnie.
Cut up to B684, then across to Hawes and Leyburn (road pretty much to myself at 4pm, only 2 bikes parked in Hawes)
Carry on to Northallerton
Then Thirsk, then on to Helmsley
Then skip down A1363 to York (new favourite road)
York ring road and motorway blast home.

Every time I fancied a fag or a pee, a nice lay-by appeared as if by magic.

Short ride turns into 5 hours and 210 miles. Ears still ringing, knees knacked, fingers slightly numb. Cold beers waiting when I got home. Utterly content.

Only gets a 9/10 since I got p*ssed on between Skipton and Kerby.
