Default RIP Joan Ramon Moran

Nobody knew him, neither did I...

He worked for a company called 'Galfer' as i'm sure some of you know is a brake disk manufacturer.

Well, I bought a second hand set of their disks from ebay a few months back which my friend had a few issues fitting.

I e-mailed Galfer with the problem and Joan replied. Even though I mentioned that I bought these second hand, he was so helpful and wrote a whole e-mail with questions and possible answers that related to my bike. You could really tell that he had looked in to it and that he knew his stuff.

The situation was eventually overcome and I e-mailed him (I thought it was a woman at first...) thanking him for his help as he had asked me to let him know how it went. I also said how, because of his great customer service I would be a customer again one day.

Again he replied explaining how much those sort of e-mails help them so much as a moral boost etc.

Anyway, today I recieved this e-mail:

Lamentamos comunicar el fallecimiento en accidente de tráfico de nuestro Ingeniero responsable de I+D Don Joan Ramón Morán el pasado día 29 de Agosto.

Además de un gran técnico perdemos a una gran persona y amigo.

El funeral se celebrará el día 31 de Agosto a las 19h en la Iglesia de la localidad de Albiñana (Tarragona).

Was just strange, that I didnt know the guy, yet feel quite shocked that this has happened. Somehow I doubt they will be able to replace him.
