Default Tank pad removal - how?

The tank pad on my bike is looking a bit worse for wear so I have brought a new one.

Whats the best way to get the old one off without damaging the paint work

Cheers

disown the wife of the hairdryer for a couple of hours (well a day) and heat it up gradually.
should loosen the glue enough to get it off

Yeah, as above with the hairdryer. After I used white spirit and cloth to clean off the remaining glue. Then give it a wipe. Job done

Dishcloth in hot hot water, wear some gloves to handle it. Should losen the glue enough to get it off.
