Default Rear Caliper Rant

Went to change the pads in my rear claiper on Saturday...

Why on earth did Nissin descide to use a screw pin... turned my 30 minute job into a 2 hour sweat and swearing marathon (inc trip to Halfrauds for penetrating oil and a larger flat head)...

& yes I used copper grease on the thread the last time a changed 'em. The pin head is now fairly fecked and will need replacing.

I bought a halford professional impact driver earlier this year and the philips head bit just crumbled after about 10 impacts?

Any ideas how to get a rounded screwhead out of the bar end on my gsxr YC?

I reckon you may need to drill it out Paul.

well the problem is the screw is sunk into the bar end so I can't get a hacksaw at it and I can't take the bar end off without loosening the screw.. Prolly gonna be a case of welding a small nut on it and replacing with some new bar ends/screws/bolts

Lucky git, one of my bar ends fell out, and I had to buy a new bling set with fake carbon
