Can anyone tell me the length of the standard Curvy fork tube spacers that go with the standard fork springs?
Cheers in advance, C |

Curvy forks with or without preload adjusters?

Without.
... and just in case someone searches this thread in the future, the length of spacer you need for Maxton springs is 230 mm. ![]() I can't belive I couldn't find that info on pages and pages of searches. It was the only info never mentioned. ![]() Info complete. ![]() C |

That dimension dictates preload, so there's no an absolute figure, particularly without preload adjusters as the spacer length should be decided by desired preload figure.
Spacer length is at best an empirical figure. Info still incomplete ![]()

Well of course!
OK, for the sake of semantics. The start point for your initial investigations into a possible spacer length when using Maxton linear springs, in non adjustable curvy forks, where you have no other information of any kind, type or measure, is approximately 230.0 mm or there abouts. Then sort your preload out according to your own personal preference, weight, and riding style. ![]() C Last edited by Berlin; 30-10-10 at 11:07 PM. |

For clarification: 198mm is the stock length of the curvy fork tube spacer, models x, y & k1, k2 was shorter to accomodate the preload adjuster
Sid: just saw your last update and missed the conversation in between so removed my (irrelevant) comments
