Talking Be nice. I'm new.

Afternoon all,

How we doing?

I'm new to the SV650 so play nicely For the last 9 months, I've ridden a Yamaha Fazer 600 but an unfortunate meeting with a horsebox meant that she was taken away from me

After 5 weeks of utter agony, I wasn't injured, I just missed my bike and riding a lot), I found a T reg SV650S for sale not far from me. Took one look and thought she was a damn good replacement. I paid £1900 for her, including the fitting of a 33bhp restrictor kit and rode her back home a week later.

Owned her for nearly a fortnight now, and despite my steadfast opinion that nothing could beat the Fazer, she's doing a bloody good job of proving me wrong Sounds better, pulls better and attracts far more attention than the Yammy ever did. Anybody got a hat I can eat?

Anyway, obligatory pictures for y'all The previous owner did a crap job of putting the tank protector on so I've got to take that off and fit a new one. I also want a different screen because the standard one is no help at all past 60mph. Wouldn't mind some lower fairings to smarten her up a bit as the large gap underneath is the one thing that I don't particularly like.

Other than that, pretty clean, pretty sexy and the smiles per hour is very high!

I nearly had a brand new pointy. My local Suzuki dealer had 0% finance deal going on with free restrictor fitting and it was very tempting.

But thank you

Hi from another recent joinee. 2002 Curvy me, in blue. I'm still undecided on the lower fairings - the bike I arrived 10 minutes too late for had them, but I'm getting used to the nose-only of mine now. You could be right about the screen though.

The problem with horseboxes is the drivers are so paranoid about driving smoothly so they don't hurt the passengers, I sometimes think other road users are a bit surplus to their concentration. Still, at least you came through unscathed
