Default Suspension dog bones material?

All,

After fitting a GSXR-600 K8 Shock I am in the middle of getting some shorter dog bones made up does anybody know the following:

1) What metal grade is the Dogbones made out of? 304ss or mild steel or ???
2) Where can I buy a GSXR 600 lower shock nut and bolt from??

Cheers,

Cheers for that. I'm not gona buy cheap copies for that reason. I'm an Engineer so I'll be taking the old dog bones into work to see if we can do some materials analysis on them before I get these machined. If not its back to the good old calculations lol

They are not stainless, who knows what grade though. Alloy ones don't kill you immediately so any grade of steel would probably be alright, who knows.

Good luck with calculations, you try figure out impact force from velocity of extension hitting bump stop

Not sure about making your own dog bones, but www.lustracing.co.uk sell them at a reasonable price. Might be easier and cheaper to just buy them off the shelf.
