That was a good watch

I always thought knee down was about getting enough lean on to enable touchdown in the normal riding leg position, and hence that people with longer legs would do it "sooner".

But that toes on pegs for twisting the knee out was a good tip and got me thinking, maybe taller people have it harder becuase they need more twisting to get the right position?

Taught me a thing or 2 certainly.

second video, at around 6.20, 'ooh look at me, just got my knee down on the bike - oh wait, how does the side stand work again'?

I wouldn't like to do a 300mile road day in that position on every corner. What is explained is OK for 10 laps on a track, make that 25 and you realise why the professionals put such an emphasis on fitness and the big geezer would ache like hell after 25 laps and be sweating like a pig.Without riding spend a day in the paddocks at endurance racing and look at the sweaty red faces heads on the big blokes who come in after 20-25 laps Its what you want out of your riding that counts to you and I am not saying it is not beneficial knowing how to do it but not practical for everyday riding where you have other traffic around you that may not conform to what you would expect of them. The other thing is you have to be carrying a fair bit of speed for it to be of any use, thereby making it track orientated as that amount of speed on a public road is probably pushing on or beyond the limits of safe riding
