Talking Glasses vs contact lenses - X-Mas do

As you all gave me some top advice when I went to get my lenses I have need or the org wisdom again.

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...+lenses&page=2

To those who are also optically challenged....

I can now put them in/out within seconds and without my eyes turning pink,

My conundrum, should I wear my lenses on my X-Mas do (Thurs night) and risk being soooo drunk I can't get them out upon my return home or should I wear my shiny new specs?

NOTE: Going on a barge were there will be parlor games so thinking lenses might give me the edge.

Good idea but I'm likely to end up overboard!
I was more concerned about the effects of sleeping in daily wear lenses if I struggle to poke them out when sozzled

i've slept/passed out with my lenses in loads of times. I don't think it does any damage?!? If you do fall asleep with them in, just don't try to pull them out as soon as you wake up cos they usually dry out and stick to your eyeball, splash a bit of lens fluid in your eyes first to free them.

For a party? - lenses all the way

If you get ****ed, not a problem, just put a few drops of fluid in your eye and they'll come out a treat.

Tried and tested

Contacts, if you get a*holed at a party, the likelyhood of face planting yersen into a rosebush and breaking yer specs is highly likely

On a barge?!

I'd go with specs simply because I'm on the rgp and cant pass out in them.

Hey, I missed that bit, but none the less, whose to say a potted rose bush displayed in a corner with tinsel on it can't still be found on the deck

When yer drunk, the beer goggles work fine

Fanks all, I'm gonna try the lenses.

Frankly I'm now paranoid there will be a shrubbery as the ladies have a 6th sense about this stuff.
