Default What's the point of tank spacers?

Do thgey really make a difference? Has anybody dyno run their bike pre- and post fitment?

i have them, they only help the bike get cold air so on a dyno they will probs make no difference at all because of the lack of cold air.

take spacers mate, to lift the tank so the tank becomes like a force air induction sort of thing just helps cold air get in to the air box


Oh and for the price to make some you might as well just stick them on and hope for the best lol
Must be easier ways to get better airflow, isn't the airbox sealed ? So how will more air get in ?
Doesnt it make the tank look funny sitting higher?

yeh you can cut the top off but the cold air is still limited by how close to the tank sits to the frame

Doesnt it also help if the snorkel on the air box is removed along with the tank spacers?!

yup, mine still has the snorkel because i didn't like the way it was running with it out, so it will come off when i get it dyno'd

Because it was running dry im guessing? I thought about removing mine but wasnt sure about the fuel/air mix.
You could fit the snorkel from the thou in the mean time

Just remove it, removed mine, didnt get any issues main difference was the nice induction noise

Yeah I did consider it, but not really much point for me atm, still on 33bhp until march
