Default unfit for use act

Anyone know anything about it?

I'm basically having to switch my phone on and off everytime I want to receive a text and to use the internet. It's not my phone as my other contact does the same **** and so does both phones when switching sims and I'm sick of it now

I know they will fob me off with some crap that its the phone and not sort it out so I want out of the deal

Gav, picked up my third Iphone on Monday since august, ive still got exactly the same issue.
For no reason at all, ill have signal, then it will just go 'no service', then will not get service again until i turn it off and reboot it.
The tech guys at apple didnt look at all suprised, 5 mins in the shop, gave me a new one.
He did say though if this one plays up i should maybe change my sim just to eliminate it, so thats next.
My phone at present is not fit for purpose either, so i will watch this thread with interest.

Another thing i have noticed, when im a poor signal area, even if i dont use my phone, it will be on the red zone of battery life by dinnertime, if im in a good signal area i can use internet, make a load of calls and still have 50% left when i get home.
Im gonna get a cheap sim and keep a crappy phone on me for emergencies.

Your battery will die faster if your in a low signal area becuase your raido is working overtime trying to get the best possible signal.

I appreciate that, still crap though.
I can talk on the phone for an hour and still use less battery.
My previous samsung didnt do it btw, that would easily last 2 days and never lost signal except in darkest wales.

This is happening so much nowadays, all my friends and I have spates of the phone just not working even though in a good signal area, switch on and off cures it ( all different makes ). I think they have network issues supporting all the new smart phones which want data access and can't keep them all on network so some are booted out.

Thats because if it cant lock onto a signal it will keep trying, usually at a "boosted" power level. Running the radio that hard WILL sap the battery.
