Not sure if anyone's ever posted this, but I have seen some griping about people getting paid compensation at £1 a week out of someone's benefits etc.
You might find the info below useful -essneiutally, you get paid what you're owed and then the authority has to chase them down for the money rather than you. (BTW, this is a direct quote and was obviously written by someone who's illiterate, not me) "You may be able to apply for your compensation to be paid by a company called CICA (Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority), if this is paid to you by them Mr xxxxx will then pay CICA the money owed. CICA web address: www.cica.gov.uk" (also btw, CICA aren't a 'company', they're a Government Agency.) |

We get awarded the odd £50 here and there for getting smacked by a ****ed up driver or similar. I have only ever been paid once in over 13 years.
I may look into this as I don't want the scumbags money, I just don't want them to have it. Name a charity. Pete ![]() |

I have never bothered claiming, was called a fool for it after I was on light duties for 3 months as a result of being injured whilst attempting to restrain someone. Still time for me to claim but I probably won't bother.
Believe the rules have changed and it is a minimum £1000 payout these days so needs to be a decent injury I believe. |

MBK, down here, that minimum is for CICA claims, the courts often make small awards to be paid by the scumbag.

I was awarded £600, and expected to be drip fed. Paid as £100/month. Although I knew the scroat was able to pay £6000 in cash without a problem. sometimes the courts believe the bull poo. "I am unemployed" etc. What they really mean is I am not in lawful employment.
In my case how the feck do you have a 400 grand house and be unemployed. Still vengeance will be mine. my enemy's enemy is my friend and my enemy left Glasgow in a hurry, I wonder why? A word in somebody's ear could be quite painful.

my wife had a claim once for being kicked in the stomach while arresting someone. Think she got a grand total of £80 being paid in £1.50 a month installments. Not even worth the fuel to go and get the cheques is it really!?
