Default Tyre question

Ey up,

Would it be safe to use a 120/70 zr17 55w front tyre with the standard rear tyre (160/60 zr17 69w) on my sv. There would be a 10mm difference in profile between the two.
Both tyres are battalax 021.

Cheers in advance for the help

I run a 120/70 on the front with a standard rear.....no problems to report.

Yep no issues.

A lot of front tires now seem to be going towards the 120/70 profile, I'm thinking about doing it on my front as it needing a new one soon

Good good, so what psi are you running up front with a 120/70? The standard 120/60 is 33psi so the 120/70 needs more i guess? But how much?

Erm im on about 30psi (cold) up front atm. Itl change all the time tbh and so long as its not at extremes youl be fine. On track i ran dunlops at about 23 front 18 rear. For larger volume tyres you can run lower psi without as much of an issue.
