Default Finding alternative Brembo brake seals - Aprilia, Ducati etc.

Hi,
I'm servicing the brakes on the Prilia and whilst the front seals were a pain to find (only KTM sell Brembo parts), I can't find the rear ones.

Someone on the Aprilia forums mentioned a company that could measure the seals and callipers and offer alternative seals, but said company isn't responding.

Would someone on here know who could measure the seals, the calliper groves and match an alternative part?

Cheers
dyz

Out of interest why not get them from Aprillia?

Because Aprilia don't sell them :/

For some reason KTM are the only ones selling Brembo parts.

dyzio. The best person to ask would be petevtwin. Although he doesn't come on here anymore...you could try through Lissa though.

I remember he got particulary interested in brembo seals...I stopped listening as soon as the old codger opened his mouth but he seemed to be able to get some seals after a brake overhaul.

Fire Lissa a PM n see. He may have forgotten it all now though...demensia n all that.

Cheers,
It's only the rear I need to find. Some already found that the Duke2 has the same front callipers, so I've got the seals ordered.

I've emailed the same dealer, see what they say

Breembo stopped selling seals after some American idiot sued them after failing to fit them correctly. There are alternatives available and I'll ask one of my Eytie bike loving mates who it was.

Please, if you cloud ask about it.

The calliper looks like this, I've seen it on a few other bikes (mostly Italian):

Dyzio

That looks like the rear caliper used on the 640 dukes SM, but can't be sure.
May be worth taking a punt and having a look on here

may take me a while to find it, but the raptor chapter have been chatting about this issue too. Its even worse to find seals for our bike, and they too use the same Brembos as Aprillia. Although KTM sticks in my head

Goes off to trawl...maybe some time!
