So my sproket gave out due to a slight lack of lube *cough* and will be replaced friday.
Problem is my breakdown company neglected to inform me that as of 2nd feb they stopped doing motorbikes!! 3hours of wrangling and no joy so wife is making 2 hour round trip to get me ![]() "update" greenflag will take me upto 10miles as a good will gesture! Is anyone local able to store or transport a bike and look after her for 3 days? Much beer will be owed and costs covered naturally, just dont want to leave it dumped by road side. Warning its a rat bike and state of it may make you cry so be warned (its due a massive tlc overhaul next month) Last edited by PsychoCannon; 15-02-11 at 09:57 PM. |

Long story is trye replaced 2 weeks ago and they mentioned scottoiler easnt feeding and sproket/chain were severly worn and needed asap replacing, this was due for friday...almost made it..
It was still borderline on inspection but after only 2 weeks more riding Teeth are broken/bent and chain almost touching the floor on max adjustment >_<, didnt realise it would deteriate quite that quickly... luckily it all fell apart and locked my rear up (wheel and sphincter) in London and not on M1... Time to get back into habbit of daily checks me thinks.... Given the above i probably dpnt deserve help but figured id ask and bribe anyways as i know you lot are awsome and partial to the prospect of free beer ![]() Its a triumph tt 600 purchased in good nick. During the snow someone ran it over in tge car park damaging fairing, right indicator, and foot peg. Not noticing scottoiler went (doing 100miles a day on a tourqey 600) has ruined chain/sprocket, and 2 days ago lost the speedo also ![]() Likr i say, massive tlc dose due on march payday (lotsa overtime!) I'd put up the offer to chain it to the same lamppost as mine is, but I've no method of collecting/transporting a bike other than pushing the bugger.
Sorry ![]() Jo |

Heh no worries.
Got an awsome offer to store is somewhere uber secure but AA then csme back with oh when we said 20 miles we meant max but we actually only tow it to nearease possible garage which is 3 miles for you..... Breakdown used to be a "service" now they seem to be going the insurance route of trying to take as much off you as possible and putting in as many cavets and rules as possible to make it Impposible for you to actually use them! They already stung me for home start as i was more than 5 miles from home, then for relay as i was more than 10 (so i was only covered for a useless 5 mile radius band around my home?!) and now they wont take my bike more than 3 miles..... Ass hats ![]() |

Such a shame they couldn't recover you to RAF Norholt. I don't think you would have got many places as secure. Ah well, fingers crossed all goes well for you.

Want me to ask if you can leave it at Lord's. At your own risk blah blah but let me know if I can help.

Tell me about it I would have loved to do that ^_^.
I see your Chinooks fly over my office on an almost weekly basis and I would have loved to do it just to say hi (Got family in the RAF and always wanted to be a pilot but then who doesnt!) Lords also sounds good, actually speaking to Essential Rubber to see if they are happy for me to tow it to them today for repair friday. Will let you know, thanks for all the offers ^_^, love you all! |
