am i mental
but tbh i think he will have a good crack even tho there will be 4 world champions lining up next to him my reasoning rossi will be sorting out the ducati moaner will be getting the honda dialed in haydens still to far off the pace and lorrenzo will be target number 1 for everone so i think it will be padrosa and spies dukeing it out for the title with steady 2nd and 3rds with the odd win throught the season, and we know points make prizes neither seem to throw it into the sceanery much and spies has had a chuck of factory support for the last few races, add to that full off season testing, im thinking its not such a mental bet i think i'll stick another £20 on a top 3 finish to hedge my bets so what do you lot think |

I agree... i think he is going to be a very serious contender next year. But then again, i think i was always known that he would be up there running with the front in a very short space of time. he is yamaha's golden boy and is blantently already riding a factory bike lol

No way.
Lorenzo. Rossi learning the Ducati, Stoner learning the Honda. Pedrosa and Spies for the runners up spots. |

I cant see him beating an in form Lorenzo or a fully fit and healthy Dani Pedrosa. I think the battle will be between those two. I think as for Stoner & Rossi it depends how they get the 2011 bikes working for next year.
Personally I'd not rule out Rossi, remember his first year at Yamaha anybody ? Then theres the effect of his input into the Ducati may have on Nicky Hayden to.

It would be a shock if he beat Lorenzo on an equal footing. Perhaps if Honda and Ducati build slow bikes next year, and Lorenzo injures himself and sits out half a dozen rounds, then it could happen. But to consistently be beating Lorenzo, I can't see it happening.
What odds are they offering anyway? |

fizz ,that i agree with but i dont think pedrossa will be fully fit or should i say he will be off the boil after any off thru practice or a race, i think the injury will niggle at him over the next season
lorenzo was a worth champ this season but i dont think he'll do it back to back hayden will improve with rossi beside him but not quickly enough moaner unlike rossi takes longer to dial in a bike imho rossi i think went to the wrong team ,i dont think the ducati "as is" or "will be" for next season will suit his riding style , it imho would take too much of a reverseal/redirection of R&D after the stoner years as there styles are so wildly different i'll bang up some odds later for a laugh |

Seems like JB is going with Rossi to Ducati then from what I have been reading.
Burges reckons already that the Ducati is a better bike than the Yamaha was when they got their hands on it and look what Rossi did with that in its first year. So you've got Rossi - Proven winner, with the genius crew cheif, who turned around Yamaha. Never underestimate Valentino, if anybody can make that bike work its JB. To be fair. I think they went to far with Ducati and p*ssing around with the carbon frame / carbon swingarm. A return to a simpler bike which is what I would imagine Burgess will do and I dont see why he wont be winning races next year on it quickly. Rossi will want to do that, just to p*ss Lorenzo and the Yamaha management off... Stoner - On a new bike. Previous performance on the Honda well he crashed it alot didnt he. Front end mostly IIRC Pedrosa - If he recovers from his busted collarbone OK. You'd be a fool to write him off Lorenzo - On Top form, full of confidence, again you'd be a fool to write him off. Nicky Hayden - Been consistent this year, but he'll have to beat Rossi on the same machinary, which one could argue that he's already proved he cant do, when they both rode for Honda. Then you have got somebody like Dovi who can sneak a win here and there. So Ben has got to consitently beat that lot, ride at his limit and not fall off. As much as I like the guy and I like his style. I cant see him doing it.

Ben Spies aint no world champ next year.
Maybe not even a race winner. Dont wanna burst a bubble but there has gotta be a lot of special circumstances... Rossi wouldnt be going to Ducati unless the title was on the radar. And Ducati wouldnt pay top dollar unless it was either. But one must remember that Rossi wont get the testing time he had with Yam. So he has only time to get his base settings and run wot he brings. |

My heart wants to agree with you but despite I totally despise the 'Rossi wannabe' Lorenzo I think he'll win it again. Bring back Biaggi I say for some added spice or take Rossi to WSB. I liked the races better there this year.
