Default Riding 125 on full license need to remove L plates?

Hi,

I'm picking up my wifes 125 tomorrow, i have a full license do I need to remove the L plates?

you dont legally need to, but you need to on a moral basis

I thought it was the other way round. You are supposed to, but people seldom do.

My instructor just put two bits of black tape in a cross over the plates for the ride home after my mod 2.

Regardless of whether you must, I would if using an M-way. Just lowers the probability of a tug. No need to waste your time or the plod's for 2 mins to rip the plates off.

yea if your using the Mway, then just break them off, for sake of a few quid instead of an hour with the plod on motorway moaning about wasting time and whatnot.

mmmmm surely you cant go on a motorway on a 125 full licence or not?

No motorcycles UNDER 50cc on M-way, although some of the nifty 50s unrestricted would be less scary than an asthmatic old CG125..

You are meant to remove L-plates when the driver has a full licence and I certainly would if venturing onto the M-way

You can, but I wouldn't....

Went up the M1 playing wingman to a mate with his newly built trike that wasnt running well - top speed was about 65...

That was Ferking Scary - being overtaken by Artics is scary
