Fault code reader - Any thoughts on this ebay auction?

Following on from an engine management light on my wifes car this weekend (it was just a faulty spark plug, but could have been one of many ECU sensors), I wondered if I should buy one of these? A useful tool if you are doing your own maintenance?

Do bikes have the same OBD connectors, could this be used on bikes too?

I assume there's nothing you could screw up by plugging a generic reader like this in?

yea some bikes have odb compliant connectors. (ktm and triumph do) however they are only for getting specific details from them. Some sensors that arnt covered can use a manufacturers specific protocol (such as triumph) so you will be able to do some stuff but not everything. Your lucky with a tripple you can use tuneecu!! i have to use the expensive tuneboy system
