Following on from an engine management light on my wifes car this weekend (it was just a faulty spark plug, but could have been one of many ECU sensors), I wondered if I should buy one of these? A useful tool if you are doing your own maintenance? Do bikes have the same OBD connectors, could this be used on bikes too? I assume there's nothing you could screw up by plugging a generic reader like this in? |

yea some bikes have odb compliant connectors. (ktm and triumph do) however they are only for getting specific details from them. Some sensors that arnt covered can use a manufacturers specific protocol (such as triumph) so you will be able to do some stuff but not everything. Your lucky with a tripple you can use tuneecu!! i have to use the expensive tuneboy system
