7 seater or estate car needed! - SV650.org

Hello orgers!

Im off to Germany to play a few gigs on 13th April for 5 days and we need a car big enough to take 3 of us and all the gear (no amps).

Last time we hired a Zafira from Europcar which was big enough but it cost us £525 for 5 days which is just stupid money! Mainly because we were all insured to drive it and 2 of us were and still are under 25 so they wack on £12 per day per young driver.

Sooo, does anybody know:

Anybody who will lend us their car for 5 days that we can get temporary insurance on (we're in Eastleigh, Hampshire).
A cheap hire car company we can use (up to £300).
Anywhere we can buy an old 7 seater, even a non-runner (up to £500) other than adtrader or ebay.

an old minibus is about £800, if your needing big

Again, short of tax but 40+ mpg

No tax but it is jap crap
