Morning all..
I am after a bike trailer for about 10 days over the may /june half term? Either to buy and sell afterwards or to borrow in turn for favours or beer? Its to cart my ducati to france as I dont want cramp riding the bloody thing all the way to the pyranees... anything considered as beggers cant be choosers! cheers all |

Part timer, buy a comfortable bike in the first place
![]() As a side comment you do realise that your crossing charges will increase by quite a bit towing a trailor, along with the motorway charges if you are using them. Would it not be worth doing the whole trip by bike, spending all the extra cost by breaking the journey and getting two nights in a motel. Cheaper crossing and tolls. |

I am looking into the costs involved with towing, I know the tunnel is an extra £200 over just taking the bike but an extra £60 taking the car, Hence if I can save £70 by borrowing rather than hiring its £70 that can go towards elsewhere.. the bike just wont work trying to go that distance, as I am taking a pillion and it was difficult after just three hours last weekend.. in short I have bought the wrong bike and am trying to make the best of a bad situation and still get some riding in in france.. |
