Default New chain but how do my sprockets look?

Just checked my chain for stretch & i'll be changing it. I posted something a year or so back & thought i would ask again how do the sprockets look?. Do you think they need done?

Learn to maintain your bike, take it apart, rebuild the engine & more (using better bolts ), drop it & fix it again!
K3 Job c.v: Engine:remove/split/rebuild/refit. Replace:Gearbox,Fuel pump,Gaskets. Piston clean,rings. Overhaul:Throttle body,Injectors,Brakes,Forks. Remove/refit:Exhaust,Radiator,Oil cooler,Throttle,Air filter,Tank. Replace: Oil,Coolant,grease,brake hoses & bleed.

Change that rear. It looks like the teeth are well worn. The front normally holds up ok but its recommended to change both at the same time and the front isn't that much more expensive to be honest, especially if it will mean better chain life.

To me it looks like you have started to get a tiny amount of hooking on the front sprocket. Even a small amount of wear on the sprockets will reduce the life of a new chain.

I was always told that when the chain is replaced the sprockets get done too unless there are exceptional circumstances like a new chain broke. Good luck.

Aye, front and rear sprockets would be around 40 quid. So a chain hunting we will go !

I've found fronts to wear out first, especially with a scottoiler.

Think the fronts are around £12 vs about £25 rear. From memory on last lot I ordered.

Buy a set of sprockets with the new chain and stop being a tightar$e
