you can use the pin number on the other box (you need the pin and instructions) and its a pain in the **** to do

I got the pin No but no instructions and no other details with the system... I got a receipt which shows the name of the alarm system and has "fuel pump fuse" written on it in pen and then signed by the installer
![]() Although I did find instructions on the Datatool site, it does look a pain in the **** lol! Where would the digits show? Is it on the speedo? Also... What you mean by the other box? |

If you read the instructions you will see the digits don't show anywhere but the pin 'numbers' are an amount of beeps.
I'd suggest following the de-spiking instructions if the pin doesn't work. The receipt you mentioned suggests to me the installer has used the fuse for the fuel pump to also feed the alarm. In the future you really need to set the alarm in service mode before you remove a battery. If the bleep every 15 seconds annoys you the siren can be unplugged. I've got no idea what Dave is talking about with the other box. |

iirc there are 2 boxs, on trigger box (towards the front) one noise box (on the rear)

Just got off the phone with Datatool their first suggestion was to check the motorbikes battery, but after I turned the ignition on and the speedo screen didn't work they think its a problem with the bike as this should never happen.
Checked the battery anyway and its at 8.8v ![]() Why didn't I check the battery? Even though it's a new one "ready to go" lol Thanks for your help guys, just downloaded the manual for the alarm, incase any further problems occur... Fingers crossed it was just the battery ![]() |

8.8v?! That could be knackered. It's certainly not ready to go.

Charge the battery. How long did you leave it after you put the acid in it?

That's strange, when I buy a new battery there's no acid in it. Usually I have to put the acid in myself and then the battery is new and ready to go, but I wait an hour, letting the chemical reaction settle down a bit...
Unless the bloke had only just filled the battery, then it could have been sitting for ages. Where did you get it? |
