I'm looking into getting a 600 sports bike after I come back from America in September, I can't get insured on an R6, GSXR600 or CBR600 but I can get insured on a:
2004 Triumph Daytona 600. ![]() I was wondering if anyone has had one of these or has any ideas as to what they're like? Reviews say they're comfy both long journeys and great round the track too so was just wondering what your thoughts where? Plus they're british which makes me want one even more! Thanks, Mike. |

Speedplays got one, good bike, I won't post up the pics or video of it being recovered though when the battery died on a rideout.

Yup, I've got one and cant find anything that I prefer to ride to replace it with. Phil is right, mine got a trailer ride back from wales after the battery died, but it was the original battery so had to die sooner or later. I've had no real issues with mine, slight (very) oil leak from the rocker cover but a new gasket has sorted that out. They sound great and feel really confidence inspiring too. They look different to most other bikes out there and mine gets lots of looks wherever its parked (or trailered). Insurance is low too which is a bonus too. Rictus on here is a good source of info on all things triumph too. |

I had a D650 2006 - 2008. Great bike - and sometimes I wonder why I changed it.
Ignore the naysayers on reliability - mine never broke down. |

My ex had one for a couple of years and I rode it a few times, I really liked it and thought it handled really well. Build quality was excellent with stainless steel fasteners used all over the place and it came across to me as definitely a competitor for the CBR600F. I think the thing that made them a little unpopular was the link between the Daytona's engine and the previous TT600 which was slated for having terrible fuelling that required regular software updates - this is something that I don't recall ever blighting the Daytona. For me the styling works, I think they're a great looking bike that have a certain individuality about them... but then again, I bought an early model Versys, so YMMV Last edited by Lozzo; 27-03-11 at 08:44 PM. |

Sounding awesome so far!
What are they like size wise? I'm 6'1" so I don't really want to be too cramped, apparently they're bigger than the other 600 supersports though? |

Mmmmm, more and more convincing haha
I won't have the money for the 650, the 600 is right in my price range fortunately! I'll have a looksy when I get back from America and go have a look at one in person, I've only seen pictures! |

I'm 6 foot 1 and never feel cramped on mine but have felt cramped on the r6 and cbr600rr.
I'm in Northwich most weekends if you want to have a proper look over one sometime. Last edited by speedplay; 27-03-11 at 10:34 PM. |
