Default Inspired by someone else cleaning antics...

Inspired by someone elses chain cleaning thread, and my hatred for the horrible Castrol Wax that Honda recommend you use, I decided to give my chain a bit of a clean as it's not been cleaned in 1300 miles and I wanted to start using PJ1 lube instead of Castrol.

So...

Before, utterly minging...

After, nice and clean, and coated in PJ1 clear no fling lube... lovely job lol

Is it wrong to say thats so clean its sexy??!!

I do mine every couple of hundred miles with paraffin and wurth dry lube but its never that clean. As luck has it I need to buy more lube so might just try the PJ1

I go threough phases of loving having a clean bike... then leaving it minging for months.

As long as it has a real good coat of posh wax on it then you can leave it for a while filthy and it will come up like new again.

Probably better to leave it tbh as it would have a nice oily covering

Is the adjustment range marking accurate? Looks like a new chain is recommended.

What is PJ1?

I use PDL, a dry wax. Makes the chain white though.

I'm sorry, but I think your idea of 'utterly minging' are completely wrong!!

So, never mind the before and after....what about the bit in the middle, how did you clean it?

And BP...we got a can of that PDL...is it good? or average?

I quite like the castrol racing chain lube, PJ1 is OK, didn't seem to last well though.
