Default Chippy Run 2011

As I type this, the sun is shining & the floor is dry. It's very different to the story this morning. I woke up & checked the weather forecast (I needn't have bothered as it had been raining since 4.30 am). Hmm, do I take Custard, or the Triumph?, aw sod it, Custard was nearer to the shed door & she needed a shakedown, plus, there would be noone there anyway.
How wrong I was. In all 13 bikes, some old face, some new & a bucket full of rain, but, we weren't perturbed
We set off from J & S in Northwich just after 10 15 after watching one of their scrotes trying to do a handbrake turn in his super dooper 1.1 Fiesta & stopped about 3 minutes later for people to refuel.

We headed off through Hartford & Whitegate, through some stunning scenery of thatched cottages & the like, this is where I took the 1st detour of the day as the BTCC was on, so didn't want to get stuck in traffic. We headed off through Winsford, down Swanlow Lane into Reaseheath & then headed off to Broxton Butty Van. There were a couple of hardy bikers & a couple of scooters when we turned up, but then it was like a scene out of Quadrofenia with loads of scooters turning up, some, dare I say it were really nice.

We thought about buying this for Quiff, suits him down to the ground now we know where he was last night

After people had taken in some refreshment & a smoke we headed off towards Wrexham & turned off for Cross Gates. Woopee dry roads, so time for a quick play. Custard isn't turning in as it should so I decide to behave myself.
We made our way to Lynne's Raven Cafe. Again, not many bikes out, but more than I expected......... Time for dinner

OOOh Lunch £5.00 including a coffee, Bargain

Filled up, time to move. Through Market Drayton (after another fuel stop) & onto Nantwich lake & Ice Cream for Christopher & Regency lol.

Y.M.C.A. lol Mr UKI in his fetching hi viz donated by Christopher

The Obligitory Lunge pic

Take 2 lol. Nice one Ness

Take 3

We then headed off back to Northwich Via Nantwich. DaveP pulled along side me & said that we had lost a few people, so pulled over & waited a few minutes, hey presto, 5 mins later we were back together. Parked up at J & S, had a mosey round, then said our goodbyes & headed home.

Custard is now washed & put to bed. I had a really good time, the weather was not the best, but the ride went without incident, which is a bonus & met some new .org people as well as catching up with some folk I haven't seen for a while.

Thank you once again those involved I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did & hopefully the weather will be better for the next one
