Default Visa information, Schengen zone and France

Hey all you guys

Paging you from Zagreb, Croatia - probably best not to ask, long story...

If anybody here is a bit of a whizz on Visas, specifically for France I'd be grateful for a little advice, would prefer not to broadcast the situation in public but nothing illegal is involved...

Cheers...

I'm looking for options to allow a Croatian national re-entry into France for non-working purposes after they've used all of the 90 day exemption from the Schengen visa agreement, not sure what the options are, what the requirements are, from looking on the net I can't see a stone reason why we can't get the visa, but it's just a stress right now. One thing I can't find an answer for is whether someone who's used the exemption can apply for a Schengen visa or if they have to apply for one of the temporary/long term visas?

To be honest we're off to see the French embassy tomorrow and hopefully get some information but it's nice to hear something positive, if it's out there... If not we need to start making other plans, whatever they may be...

Hah!!

The French embassy were about as helpful as a brie teapot, there aren't any tourist visas for France for Croatian citizens

Soooooo, looks like we'll be coming to UK for a while

Might even make it to AR11...

were they on strike or as soon as they saw you did the shout "we surrender" in a dodgey "allo allo" accent?

Actually the lady we spoke to was Croatian...

Come to think of it, I'm beginning to suspect they weren't French at all

I don't recall seeing a white flag anywhere...
