Default Tight Spot

I know its been covered but im too lazy to trawl through many threads to get an answer.

  • I have a tight spot on my 99 curvey.
  • Done around 35000 miles
  • I know where it is.
  • I have a scottoiler.
  • Theres no visable wear to the sprockets
  • I can pull the chain off the rear sprocket by about a cm.
  • I can hear it clunking as I ride, especially going uphill or with more weight on the bike.
  • Dosen't seem to affect performance and it's been like this for a while.
Do people think its worth replacing?
Just the chain or the chain and sprockets?

I think im going to replace it but... due to the lack of wear to the sprockets im undecided weather as to replace these aswell.

Thanks for any advice.

Default Re: Tight Spot

Get some oil and wiggle it until it is free. If it will not free off replace chain otherwise it will eat everything.
